Service Description
Wednesday, June 17th from 6pm to 8pm a specialized pottery method is coming to you! This workshop will focus on the sgraffito technique, a pottery method where designs are carved into clay to reveal contrasting layers of color beneath the surface. This class will reveal the clay body once carved into it. Each participant will receive a premade leather-hard shallow plate that is ready for carving. After applying colored underglaze, you will use carving tools to create your design, which will reveal beautiful contrast and texture. Once fired, it can be a decor piece, a functional piece or even a special and meaningful gift. Sgraffito invites patience and creativity. It is less about perfection and more about allowing yourself to slow down, explore, and see how beauty emerges through the process. Your finished piece will then be fired and available for pickup in Helotes, TX once complete. Pottery Class Cancellation Policy 1. Cancellations by Participant -7+ days before class: Full refund or option to transfer to another class (refund processing fees may apply). -3–6 days before class: 50% refund or option to transfer if space is available (refund processing fees may apply). -Less than 72 hours: No refund, but you may transfer your spot to a friend/family member or obtain a credit for a future event or purchase. -No-Shows: No refunds or transfers for participants who do not attend without prior notice. 2. Cancellations by Host -If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or option to reschedule. 3. Weather or Emergency Closures -In case of severe weather or emergencies, classes will be rescheduled. If you cannot attend the rescheduled class, you’ll receive a full refund.
